Albert Pujols Gets Dragged Into
This Grim-Sleazy Tale
Pujols' trainer denies steroid involvement in Grimsley case:
"I can guarantee you that one, too,'' he says. ``I've known Albert since he was 18 years old. Albert won't even drink his protein shakes anymore during the season because he's scared they're contaminated. That's been part of his training for the last five or six years, and all of a sudden he won't even do that. He's tired of it. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of people putting this kid down. He's a great kid. Let him be great. He's clean.''
-Albert Pujol's Trainer Chris Mihlfeld
New England Sports Hub-Red Sox Nation Says:
Unfortunately for Pujols, he is the greatest star in Baseball's version of "The Day After". He is guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of many baseball fans, with innocence proven only at the expense of the Union...Only A blood test, DNA sample, and lie detector test would put these rumors to rest...If PHAT ALBERT was to allow storing of the blood and DNA while awaiting future testing advances. Players simply don't turn their back on other players until their Grim back is against the wall, so any clearing of the Pujols name is highly unlikely to happen. We happen to think that Pujols is clean; He is a well known character guy-How many men, not to mention millionaire athletes-would take on the responsibility that comes with marriage to a woman who is the mother to a mentally and physically challenged child? We would still like to get at that birth certificate, however. Somebody may be 29 for the next 3 years...
