THE STREAK IS OVER

FAST FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

10-0 postseason run ends

with a 27-13 loss in Denver

How Do You Like Yours??
Fumbled Punt, Interception, Kick Return, Running Back Special...
How about Hobb'ling...
The Hobbs kick return fumble led to the blown pass
interference call in the end zone, and a key Broncos touchdown.

Shocking:
Troy Brown muffs a key punt
return in the 4th quarter, ending the Pats chances
Bizarro Bill:

(Patriots albatross Ben Dreith, back row 1st on the left)

(National media outlets have reported that the overhead camera angle was inexplicably unavailable during the review, and that subsequent viewing of the angle showed that it should have been a touchback, Patriot ball on their own 20 yard line).

"I think in a lot of ways this kind of invigorates you."

-Tom Brady, in his postgame press conference

Comments:
You know, I like Tom's comment, because I think this team is going to be so much better in 2006. This team has some great young players and a great mix of veterans.

Knowing that the Pats did not win it this year means that Doug Flutie will retire without appearing in a Super Bowl. So, to me that is the only negative feeling I have tonight.

Pats will be back stronger this same time next year.

See you in Miami, SB 41

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Brady, (as if he actually needed it), will have more motivation than ever before. Maybe the players took the run for granted just a little bit; I know that many fans certainly did.

As for Doug, I wouldn't count him out just yet. He is in the perfect situation for this stage of his career, and would be welcomed back by Belichick and the team.

Too bad the Pats couldn't have gotten by Denver, as we would be hosting a home AFC championship game, as Peyton continues to prove that he is a knotch below Tom Brady.

THAT'S SPELLED S-O-X
In the four major US professional sports, (Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey), there are only seven teams whose nicknames do not end with an "S:" Basketball: The Miami Heat, The Utah Jazz, The Orlando Magic. Baseball: The Boston Red Sox, The Chicago White Sox. Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche, The Tampa Bay Lightning. Football: None.
