Suddenly, The Sox have 15 HR's and production at 1b with their "blonde bombshells"
Blonde Bombshells:
Country Kevin Millar hit 2 HR's on Wednesday and led the Sox to victory...Olerud hits 2 bombs and has 6 RBI on Thursday, finishing off the sweep and cooling off the Devil Dogs.
Olerud hit his 500th career double last night, to go with his 2 homers
Yankees lose to the Seattle Mariners 5-1 earlier Thursday.
Sox moved 3½ games ahead of New York in the AL East.
The Red Sox led by as many as 5½ and as few as 1½ games in August.
Sox have won five in a row overall and 19 of 20 at home.
Sox have scored at least 7 runs in each of their last 14 games at Fenway Park. But they've needed almost all of them: In nine of those games, they've given up 6 runs or more.
