Was It Over When The Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor??
(Germans??Let him go...he's rolling.)
SOME SOX GAVE UP BEFORE GAME 4:
Not only did some Red Sox players verbally throw in the towel before Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, they actually told a few Yankees.
That's what former Yankee pitcher Jon Lieber told Tim McCarver during an interview that will air on "The Tim McCarver Show" on May 15 (Ch 2, 2:30 p.m.).
Lieber told McCarver the Red Sox players, whom he did not identify, "congratulated" the Yankees on a sweep before the game. Lieber also did not ID the Yankee players who received the congratulations.
