BACK IN THE HIGH LIFE AGAIN
Miller quenches Red Sox thirst for pitching
WADE MILLER HAS CHANGED HIS DELIVERY IN ORDER TO PROTECT HIS FRAYED LABRUM. HIS LANDING SPOT IS NOW MORE CENTERED; HE USED TO LAND MORE TO HIS RIGHT. THE RESULT IS THAT HE NO LONGER THROWS ACROSS HIS BODY. ALTHOUGH HE MAY LOSE SOME MOVEMENT ON HIS BALL, HE HASN'T LOST MUCH IN THE WAY OF VELOCITY: THE FASTBALL TOUCHED 94 TODAY AND SETTLED IN THE LOW 90'S (88 mph cross seamer). THIS GUY IS A LEGIT #2+ STARTER IF HE CAN JUST STAY HEALTHY. THE RED SOX DO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN SUCCESSFULLY MANAGING ALL-STAR PITCHERS WITH FRAYED LABRUMS...PEDRO MARTINEZ SAYS HELLO. -NFMiller quenches Red Sox thirst for pitching
