"SI: Be honest. Did you believe in the Curse?
Taylor: I don't actual believe in the curse but I believe in the belief of the curse. There's no question about it that we came unglued so many times with the Yankees. Our level of play went way down in our concentration. We were rattled. The fans, too. They behaved really badly when the Yankees were in the park. It just generations of frustration and trying to get beyond it. It's a different world now to have finally done it. So I don't believe there is some gypsy mechanism at work but definitely some kind of a psychic landscape, like a mountain, that we had to cross."
