Poor Nomar adds injury to inadequacy
Baker gave him Monday off but Nomar went 0-for-5 Tuesday. Garciaparra then volunteered to vacate his No. 3 spot in the order: "I said, 'If you switch me, it's not like you're gonna hurt my feelings. I wanna win here. If you feel you have to do that, it doesn't bother me. Don't make the decision based on how I'm gonna take it."'
