GARY THORNE STATED DURING TODAY'S ESPN BASEBALL TELECAST (following the Bonds press conference) THAT RETIREMENT BEFORE PASSING THE BABE AND HAMMERIN' HANK WOULD BE BEST FOR BASEBALL.
