NEWENGLANDSPORTSHUB ROYAL ROOTERS LESSON #5:

How to teach a Dirt Dog that you are onto his same old tricks:
After Steve Burton put in the call to Jose Canseco and the Royal Rooters called him out on RedSoxNation.net, the story changed on the DD's site. Good work people.

Now DD says that Jose mentions Nomar in the book, but that Nomar did not take steroids. Great reporting there...

Backpeddling because Steve Burton called his "binky" directly and Canseco dispelled the Dirt Bags rumor.Steve Burton calls his buddy Canseco and sets the record straight on Nomar.Burton to Jose: "Internet sources (Boston DirtBags) have said that Nomar is "named" in your book..."Canseco:"Nomar is not named in the book...if he is mentioned, it is briefly."I gotta protect my "binky" too.

And where is Dirtbag now? He was quick to try to stir up sh*t with PSF, but yet again he lies in order to get hits on his web site, then gets proven false by real reporters, and where is he? Step up, Dirtball.

What backpeddling? The BDD entry stated that Nomar is named in the book. He is. And more detail was added when available from another source as it always is. Did you read anywhere on BDD that "Canseco said Nomar used steroids?" Even the lonely mouthbreathers here who are on the site every 10 minutes can tell you they never read that. Mr. Garciaparra turned out to be a lot of things, but I've never seen him as the steroid using type.

Nomar Garciaparra - SS - Cubs Nomar Garciaparra will be outed as a steroids user in Jose Canseco's book, a source told Boston Dirt Dogs.Claims made my Canseco should hardly be taken as fact, but they are being treated as news. Here's one more name to add to the list. Feb. 10 - 9:04 pm etSource: Boston Dirt DogsThat's from Rotoworld. I wonder why all these people got that same impression? Maybe because you had a "Breaking News Exclusive" about Nomar being "named" in a book about steroid use? If you weren't simply wrong (again), you were intentionally misleading to get some pub, which, even for you, is completely pathetic.

Come on, Dirt Dog. Was Bud Selig "named" in Jose's book? No; but he certainly is mentioned. Since you breath through your nose, but talk out of both sides of your mouth, I find it hard to believe that you overlooked the implication of your choice of words. Who was your source, Bob Lobel on a bender? As for Mr. Garciaparra, he will turn out to be the best free agent bargain of the 2005 season.

Yeah..the initial bait and switch headline didn't imply that Nomar used steriods at all. Please...don't insult us.http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...ack=2&cset=true

A Boston TV station reported Thursday night that Jose Canseco denied that Cubs shortstop Nomar Garciaparra was linked to steroids in his upcoming tell-all book, which had been implied in a Boston-based Internet report and repeated on Chicago radio.Steve Burton, sports anchor of WBZ-TV, said he spoke with Canseco after a Red Sox fan Web site proclaimed "Nomar Named," earlier Thursday evening in reference to "Juiced," the book scheduled to be released Monday........Steve Silva, operator of the Web site, later amended the posting to say that Garciaparra had been named in the book but not in the context of steroids. His source was a close friend who had spoken to someone at Regan Books who had browsed through a copy of Canseco's book and noticed Garciaparra's name. The source said the mention was in connection with Garciaparra's photo on the March 5, 2001, cover of Sports Illustrated when the former Red Sox star posed with his shirt off to show how muscular he had become in the off-season. Ponderous.
